November 13 - Today in Beatles History

1961 Performance at noontime at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.
1962 Brian signs a contract for a performance at the Lewis' 527 club, Liverpool, for 25 pounds.
1962 Night. Performance at the Star Club.
1963 Paul's got a flu. Hour after hour, bullettins report his condition.
1963 Concert at the ABC, Plymouth (`The Beatles Autumn Tour').
1963 Re-broadcasting of `The Mersey Sound', BBC-TV documentary.
1963 `She Loves You', 11th week in the Top 10 (UK New Musical Express chart). `Please Please Me' LP, 34th week in the Top 10 (UK New Musical Express chart).
1966 Concert of the Four Tops at the Saville Theatre. 2 performances. Epstein says this is the first of many Sunday concerts he plans to present at the Saville. After the show Epstein hosts a party at 24 Chapel Street. Guests, among others: The Four Tops, John, George, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Georgie Fame, Donovan, Eric Burdon, Hilton Valentine and Chris Curtis.
1966 The front page of the `Sunday Telegraph' reports that two of the Beatles have approached Allen Klein through a third party. Klein, in London, did not announce the story himself or made himself available for comment. Brian dismisses the story as ridiculous. George and Ringo are said to be disturbed by the report; John, annoyed about the suggestion of their being disenchanted with Brian. Paul is abroad and cannot be reached for comment.
1968 New York premiere of `Yellow Submarine'.
1969 John gives an island of his called Dorinch, by the Ireland coast, so that any hippy who wishes could live there.
1972 US single release: `Now Or Never'/`Move On Fast', by Yoko.
1975 Wings concert in Melbourne.
1980 John's secretary makes contacts to arrange a visit of John to Brazil, to take effect during the Carnival of Rio de Janeiro.
1995 Sussex, England. Recording of `The World Tonight' begins.
2000 UK CD release: `Beatles 1'.
