George Martin is born, in London.

1963
End of Christmas pantomime 'Babes In The Wood', with Gerry and the Pacemakers. [?]

1964
'Beatles Christmas Show', at the Astoria Cinema, Finsbury Park, London.

'The Jack Paar Show' transmits a fragment of a Beatles' concert at the Winters Garden, Bournemouth. It includes 'She Loves You'. 1st important exposure of the Beatles in American television.

1968
'Hello, Goodbye' number 1, 5th week (UK New Musical Express chart).

1969

30 000 copies of 'Two Virgins' are confiscated in New Jersey, on a judge's order, accused of pornographic cover.

1970
Studio 2. 2.30pm-12.15am. Recording: 'I Me Mine' (takes 1-16). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Phil McDonald; 2nd Engineer: Richard Langham.
Last song recorded by the Beatles.
During the session, George improvises a version of 'Peggy Sue Got Married'.
